At fourteen, I moved to a new home in the country from Brooklyn. I discovered that silence can be deafening. When you suddenly go from having dozens of things to do on any given day to listening to the sounds of crickets and cicadas buzzing on a hot summer day, desperation sets in. I started to read: Alfred Hitchcock, Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen. One day, those two magical words wormed their way into my head - "What if?" From that day forward, I wanted to be a writer. My mistake? I let go of the dream for forty years.
Since 2009, I have completed two novels for which I am currently seeking agent representation and focused on mastering the craft of writing by completing the MFA in Fiction with Southern New Hampshire University. I had the privilege of studying with an amazing group of published authors and the direct mentorships of Katherine Towler, Robin Wasserman, and Jo Knowles.
I am currently working on sequels to both of my first two novels and have laid the framework for a literary novel. Please take a look at the samples:
